Todos vivimos
una ilusion.
Todos existimos
en dos mundos
muy diferentes,
uno es
el que los otros ven,
el otro
es el que llevamos
adentro...

Todos vemos
lo que queremos ver.
Cuando miramos
alrededor
cerramos nuestros ojos
al dolor
que nos rodea,
cubrimos nuestros oidos
cuando nos grita,
claro y fuerte...
No queremos
enterarnos...

Y sonreimos,
y saludamo,
y nos reimos
a carcajadas
para ahogarlo...

Porque ese dolor
es la refleccion
de lo que vive
profundamente
dentro de nosotros,
en los recovecos
mas oscuros
de nuestro corazon.

Lo ignoramos,
con la esperanza
que no dure mucho,
que desparezca...
y seguimos viviendo
la mentira,
y no permitimos
que nadie se acerque
lo suficiente
para descubrirlo.
Por miedo
a que algiuien
descubra
alguna forma
de hacerlo peor,
de herirnos mas,
y causar
mas dolor...

Y nos aseguramos
de seguir pretendiendo
en una realidad
que solo existe
en la superficie
y en nuestra mente...

Ah! Que caretas que usamos!
Como pretendemos
mientras somos destrozados
detras th la fachada!

PRETENSE


We all live
An illusion.
We all exist
In two different worlds,
One is the one
The others see
And the other one
is the one we carry inside...

We all see
What we want to see
When we look around.
We close our eyes
to the pain
that surrounds us...
We cover our ears
When it screams
Loud and clear...
We don't want to know...

And we smile,
And say hello,
And laugh out loud
To drown it out...

For that pain
Is the reflection
Of what lives deep
Inside of us,
In the darkest corners
Of our hearts.

We ignore it,
Hoping it will go...
Hoping it won't last...
And we keep on
Living the lie,
And we don't let
Anybody in,
Save they would find
A way to make it worse,
To hurt us more
And cause more pain...

And we guard ourselves
And keep up
The pretence
Of a reality
That only exists
On the surface
And in our heads...

Oh! The masks we wear!
How we pretende
That everything is ok
While being riped appart
Behind the facade!
